The aim of the campaign is to enhance knowledge of the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) among consumers, distributors and food professionals and to educate on the benefits of the provenance indicator schemes, the relevant checks, controls and traceability systems that are put in place to ensure ongoing quality, and to differentiate the products and raise their profiles.

This new edition has a rich program of events starring Prosciutto di Parma all around Uk and Ireland through 2012, among which there are public tastings and 15 masterclasses – for food specialists, specialized shops, importers and distributors – in five cities across Great Britain and four Irish cities.

During the  masterclasses all the theoretical and practical skills on  Prosciutto di Parma will be provided, and all this information will help the operators to drive consumer across their purchases thanks to a major product knowledge.
